Rental Default Insurance - Landlords dreams come true!

At Rutherfords, we have been working on a unique product offered on industrial properties of major interest to investors of tenanted industrial facilities large and small.
This product is rental default insurance that provides 12-month cover should the tenant default or disappear. This is coupled with a security bond that is agreed in the lease. Recent experience shows that this product provides major benefits to investors, potentially at a neutral cost.
Two fundamental conditions of this product are it must be part of the building insurance and, for security, it must be managed by estate agents.
It’s expected that the uptake of this product will be substantial. Apart from the obvious benefits of the lease security, there are many other potential benefits, such as lower finance costs, easier saleability and higher achievable prices upon sale.
